Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and Inclusion

To do our job well, we have to understand people.

And to understand people means being at the forefront of diversity and inclusion. Our business cannot succeed if we do not embrace this ethos. But we don’t just value diversity because it makes business sense as global citizens. Our team members work hard to make the world a better place, whether through volunteering their time to help others, or making contributions that can aid underprivileged children.

Our perspective as a company is shaped by the experiences of our global team members who represent every imaginable part of the global community. We are the most multicultural team in our industry, with 300K employees in 80 countries, serving 170 markets in 265 languages. Each customer is unique and our diversity allows us to interact with them in a unique way.

It is our duty as a responsible global organization to share with the world our strong efforts at a global and local level to show how we value diversity.

A Commitment to Gender Diversity

A Commitment to Gender Diversity

Being a great place for women to work means understanding and respecting each professional and each individual. We have made a strategic priority to promote and achieve gender equality. As such, we have launched a global initiative called TP Women. Teleperformance has more than 300,000 individuals 47.5% male and 52.5% female. We believe that gender balance is key.

This initiative supports four key objectives:

  • To create a more gender-diverse workforce at all levels across Teleperformance globally
  • To improve the promotion of female staff in senior positions
  • To develop a network of women and men as educators and advocates towards workplace equality
  • To encourage a gender-sensitive leadership culture

Empowering Professionals with Disabilities

We help people of all abilities reach their full potential. We break down barriers and create equal opportunities. At TP, we embrace disability and diversity in the workplace. Beyond hiring, we have implemented practices that encourage and progress professionals with disabilities.

TP promotes disability awareness and sensitivity in the workplace by:

• celebrating International Day for Persons with Disabilities
• holding Disability Awareness and Sensitivity Orientation
• holding Deaf Awareness Orientation
• discovering the unique capabilities of people with autism

We take pride in our multicultural DNA

We take pride in our multicultural DNA

At Teleperformance, we value our diverse workforce. We understand that everyone deserves to be respected and treated as a person, no matter where one hails from or who they are. At global and local levels, we make every effort to promote our commitment to diversity and inclusion, creating and participating in projects that are inclusive of minority and underrepresented populations. For us, this effort never stops.

We will continue to fight for non-discriminatory practices and promote tolerance. Doing this is in our DNA. It’s the right thing to do for the world and for our company.

Here are just some of the incredible diversity and inclusion initiatives led by our employees:

  • Supporting our LGBTQIA+ communities
TP in the Philippines, who has signed the United Nations LBGTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex) Standards for Business, continues to be committed to fighting gender discrimination while pushing for equality and safe spaces for its LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Promoting employment opportunities for young people
TP in Columbia supports the “40,000 First Jobs” program, which allows all young high school graduates, technicians, technologists, and professionals between 18 and 28 years old who are not currently studying but are looking for a job and have no formal experience related to their area of study to have a fair shot at employment.
  • Collaboration with the Dutch Social Security and Employment Agency
TP in the Netherlands, in collaboration with the Dutch Social Security and Employment Agency, is currently preparing a pilot program to recruit and on-board people with a “distance to the labor market.”
  • Massage therapy program in Brazil
Since 2009, TP in Brazil has undertaken a special project to provide employment opportunities for people with visual impairment through a massage therapy program, designed to increase the well-being of TP employees. If this sounds like a phenomenal program, that’s because it is.
  • Zero discrimination
TP in Spain’s “Zero Discrimination Month” campaign held in March of each year covers different inclusion topics. It also serves as a platform for sharing testimonials of influential people every week throughout the month.
  • Inclusion of refugees
TP in Portugal has a partnership with RefuJobs project that helps with the integration of refugees into our company. We currently have several recruitment initiatives with the center.
